Geometry Ogilvy Japan announced today a combination of promotions and hires to bolster its creative power, as they bring on new clients and more opportunities for the growing agency.
Effective April 1st, Yasushi Arikawa is moving up into one of the agency’s ECD slots while Naoto Nishimura, the former ECD at Beacon Communications, Tokyo, has taken up the other ECD position.
Arikawa has been instrumental in the agency’s pioneering Shibuya metaverse work over last several years and will also oversee the work of KDDI’s new Web3 venture, Alpha-U.
Nishimura has spent his entire career at Beacon and helped that agency develop a solid creative portfolio. He will work alongside the GOJ veteran Arikawa to strengthen the agency, bringing together creative along with experience and social to provide a more integrated offering.
Also promoted to Senior Creative Director are both Kensui Arao, who has been producing award-winning work for Spotify Japan and other accounts, as well as Yasuhito Imai, who handles creative on some of the most high-profile work within the agency.
All four, led by CCO Doug Schiff, will be forming the agency’s new GOJ Creative Council. Schiff said, “It’s great to recognize some of our best talent, while also bringing in great leadership from the outside. I look forward to sitting with the team and collectively forging the way forward in order to make the most of our recent wins in providing bigger and bolder integrated ideas for our clients.”
